Childersburg, AL. - A Memorial Service and Celebration of Life is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. Saturday, June 1, 2024 at Fayetteville Baptist Church, 10177 Childersburg-Fayetteville Hwy, Sylacauga, AL 35151.
Our beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Eva Farler Pope, age 66, passed away peacefully May 12, 2024. She was born May 10, 1958 in Talladega, Alabama to Tonnis and Homer Farler.
Eva was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. She loved her family fiercely and her grandchildren were her greatest legacy. Her life was a living example of unwavering love, hard work and dedication. She worked for Georgia Pacific for over 30 years before their closure in 2008. She instilled an extremely strong work ethic in her children, pushing them to be the best versions of themselves.
She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Robert Pope; children, Shaun (Mandy) Griffin, Kristin (Justin) Watkins and Casie (Jeremy) McDonald; grandchildren, Macon Griffin, Addison Nemeth, Lee McDonald, Will McDonald, Reagan (Cole) Waters, Rylee (Dustin) Irvin, Raleigh Brewer-Griffin, Brittany Watkins, Zoey Watkins and Robby Watkins; great grandchild, Grayson Waters; sister, Carlean (Reuben) Pruitt; brothers, Mike (Cindy) Farler and Ronnie Farler; and many beloved nieces and nephews who she considered her own.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Tonnis and Homer Farler; and brothers, Carlton "Toot" Farler and Eddie Farler.
At her request, she will be cremated and her ashes shared among her husband and children to be spread at her most cherished places.
A Memorial Service and Celebration of Life is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. Saturday, June 1, 2024 at Fayetteville Baptist Church, 10177 Childersburg-Fayetteville Hwy, Sylacauga, AL 35151.
