Born in Weogufka, AL to the late Robert Leon Stockdale and Cora Lee Blankenship Stockdale, Evajane was married to the late Vernon D Stringfellow and is survived by one child Mark Stringfellow (Kevin Barnes), one grandchild Dexter Stringfellow (Kelsey) and one brother Donald L Stockdale.
Evajane had an avid interest in local preservation of the environment and nature's beauty, spending countless hours in her "Wildflower Garden" collecting a vast assortment of native species. She was a long term member of the Alabama Wildflower Society and became a member of The Birmingham Fern Society in 1978 contributing rare examples and generously sharing plant specimens with others.
Evajane loved flowers throughout her life but requested no flowers upon her death as well as no funeral services.
