Fran PayneBowling Green, KY - Mrs. Fran Payne, 83, died Sunday, April 15, 2012 at The Medical Center in Bowling Green, KY.  The family will have a private graveside service.She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Bill Payne; son, Perry Payne; parents, David and Trischel Lake; brothers, Earnest Lake, Vester Lake, George Lake and Eugene Lake; sister, June Drake.  She was born in Cullman, AL and lived in various parts of the state.  She owned and operated Mama Payne's Day Care for over 30 years.  She attended Howard College, now known as Samford University.She is survived by her son, William Howard Payne Jr., wife Gayla of Sylacauga; daughter, Sharon Payne Hardy of Bowling Green, KY; brother, O. Jackie Lake, wife Myrtle of Moody, AL; sisters, Emma Jean Day of Chicago, IL and Mary Simmons, husband Talmadge of Springville, AL; grandchildren, Denise McKinney, husband Matt of Cumming, GA and James Hardy of Sylacauga; great-grandchildren, Ethan McKinney, Emma McKinney and Cole Hardy.
