

Mazie Frankie Prince Adams, affectionately known as Nana to all her babies, was born on June 7, 1945, in Sylacauga, Alabama to Delmas and Hellon Prince. Frankie went to be with the Lord on July 10, 2026, at UAB Hospital surrounded by her family. Frankie was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Harold Ray Adams. Throughout those 57 years, Ray and Frankie were blessed with three daughters, Tammy Browning (Jeremy), Tonya Jones (Ricky), and Trina Corbitt (Spencer), six grandchildren, Haley Adams, Brien Szczypinski (Kennedy), Maddie Corbitt, Zac Corbitt, Savannah Jones, and Jacey Browning, and four great grand-children, Brice Szczypinski, Hudson Adams, Sadie Grace Szczypinski, and Rylie Kate Szczypinski, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Delmas and Hellon Prince, and her brother, Del Prince.
Frankie was a graduate of B.B. Comer High School Class of ‘64. Following high school, she attended Nunnelley State Technical College. She and Ray were wed on September 7, 1968. She worked as a bookkeeper at City National Bank in Sylacauga until December 1971 when she became a full-time homemaker and devoted mother. She enjoyed spending time with her family and working in her yard. She was a member of The Church at Grants Mill. Frankie’s faith in her Lord and Savior was unwavering and a constant source of strength. She leaves behind a legacy of faith, kindness, and love that will continue to inspire all those who knew and loved her.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Curtis and Son Funeral Home, 1315 Talladega Hwy., Sylacauga. Funeral service will follow at 5:00 p.m. Interment will take place at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery in Sylacauga.
Pallbearers will be Jeremy Browning, Ricky Jones, Spencer Corbitt, Brien Szczypinski, Zac Corbitt, and Keith Rayfield.
Honorary pallbearers are Brice Szczypinski and Hudson Adams.
