It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Gail McGrady.
She will be remembered for her commitment to Christ and her love for others. Gail touched the lives of all who knew her, and will be dearly missed by her family, friends, and community.
Gail McGrady is survived by her husband, Don McGrady. They were married on June 23, 1956 and spent a wonderful 68 years married and 70 years together. She is also survived by her seven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and many other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Jack and Thelma Taunton, and her sons, Kerry and Kim McGrady.
A celebration of life to honor Gail McGrady will be held on Saturday, November 16 at 11:00am at Russell Chapel Baptist Church. Family and friends are invited to join in celebrating her life and sharing memories.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Russell Chapel Baptist Church.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude for the love and support shown during this difficult time. A special thanks to the nurses and care of the Palliative and Comfort Care Unit at UAB Hospital.
