Rockford, AL - Funeral service for George Blair, 85, will be Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Radney-Smith Chapel with Bro. Russell Gooden officiating. Burial will be in Newsite Baptist Cemetery in Rockford, Alabama.
Mr. Blair died Sunday, July 19, 2020 at his residence. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ollie & Elby Blair, sister, Myrtle Hodges, and brother, Alex Blair. George was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He loved working with his tractor, fixing on his lawn mower, and watching fox news and western.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Shirley Blair; son, Gary Franklin Blair; two daughters, Peggy (Johnny) Bailey, Janice (Ken) Holdeman; 11 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Tuesday, July 21, 2020 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Radney-Smith Funeral Home.
