Gertie Grier

Gertie Grier, age 92, of Sylacauga, Alabama passed away on Sunday, April 11, 2021. Gertie was born January 27, 1929. A visitation for Gertie will be held Tuesday, April 13, 2021 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Curtis and Son Funeral Home, Sylacauga, Alabama. A funeral service will occur following the visitation at 2:00 PM. A burial will occur at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery following the funeral service. Rev. Paul Vick to officiate all services. Gertie is survived by daughters Zona Strickland "Tuffy" Jennings and Judi Moore Vick (Paul); and brother Charles Stewart; 10 Grandchildren, 26 Great Grandchildren and 3 Great Great Grandchildren. Gertie was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. She loved her family especially all of the grandchildren. She enjoyed her flowers and decorating for the holidays. She had a little but gave much. Serving as pallbearers are Ty Harkins, Jonathan Trucks, Thomas Waldrep, Braden Trucks, Aaron Taylor and Clint Allen.
