Mrs. Glenda Ivey, age 90 of Sylacauga, passed away Monday, May 14, 2018 at her residence. Services will be held Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Curtis and Son Funeral Home North Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Dale Abrams officiating. Burial will be in Marble City Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at Curtis and Son North Chapel from 5-8 PM.
Mrs. Ivey is survived sons, Rick Ivey and wife Lynda, and Tony Ivey and wife Connie; Daughters, Gaye Ivey McDaniel and husband Roger, Kim Ivey Long and husband Greg, and Kit Ivey Chesnut and husband Neal; (12) Grandchildren, (24) Great Grandchildren, (1) Great Great Grandchild.
Grandsons will be pallbearers.
Mrs. Ivey Graduated from Sylacauga High School and Stephens College for Girls and attended University of Alabama. She was a life long resident of Sylacauga, past member of Matron's Study Club, D.A.R., Music Study Club, and Pilot Club. She was an election Poll worker in Sylacauga for over 70 years. She was owner/operator of the Rocket Roller Rink, Sylacauga Lanes, and 11th Frame Club. She was an avid bowler well into her 80's.
