Harold Dean Catchings

Harold Dean Catchings, 64, passed from this life on October 5, 2024. Harold is survived by his wife of 42 years, Dolores Finn Catchings, three daughters, Molly Collier (Chris), Hannah Phillips (Sam), Madeline Catchings (Caleb Rogers), one Son, Noah Catchings, one sister, Denvia Camp, two grandsons, Finn Adam Collier and Cole Fisher Collier.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Zeffie Catchings and Minnie Inez Catchings, his brothers, Houston Catchings, Howard Catchings, Butch Catchings and Wayne Catchings, his sisters, Lois Bunton, Jean Dabbs, Geraldine Liner and Dorothy Williams.

Harold was an amazing drummer and multitalented musician who loved his family and his church, and was a ray of sunshine for everyone in his path. His good natured humor and jovial spirit will be missed by all who knew him.

The family would like to express their appreciation to Coosa Valley Hospice and Coosa Valley Healthcare for the love and care provided to Harold and the family throughout this difficult journey. A special thanks for Makeisha King for going above and beyond in the care for Harold and the family.

Harold's Celebration of Life will be Tuesday, October 8, at 2:00 pm at Odena Baptist Church in Sylacauga. Visitation will be at 1:00 pm at the church.
