Funeral Service for Mr. Houston Franklin Maddox, age 87, of Sylacauga will be Friday, October 14, 2011 at 1PM at Curtis and Son North Chapel with the Reverend James Maddox and Reverend Kevin Maddox officiating. Burial will be in Bluff Springs Cemetery. Mr. Maddox passed away on Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at Coosa Valley Medical Center. Mr. Maddox was preceded in death by his wife: Leeomea Maddox; mother: Mary Crossley Maddox; father: John Thomas Maddox; brothers:

Clifford Maddox, Doul Maddox, Walter Maddox, J.D. Maddox; step-brother: James Elford Maddox (Jimmy); sister: A.D. Chaivers; step-sisters: Rosa Landrem, Beulah Turner, Nanny Tate; grandchild: Darryl Wayne Lovett and a great great grandchild: Regan Alexus Parker. He was a member of the Bible Baptist Church and worked at Avondale Mills for 50 years. He is survived by his Son: James Edward Maddox (Sarah) of Sylacauga, Daughter: Geraldine Lovett of Sylacauga, Sister: Louise Whiteside of Birmingham, Grandchildren: Bobby Lovett, Wendy Hawkins, Keith Maddox, Kevin Maddox, Kimberly Williams, 20 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great Great Grandchildren. Curtis and Son Funeral Home North Chapel will direct the services.
