Hubert Wayne Garner

He had a lifelong love of classic cars, never turned down a good poker game, and could always be counted on to share a story that brought laughter to those around him. His quick wit, warm heart, and gift for storytelling will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

He is survived by his wife, Johnnie Faye Garner; sons, David Wayne Garner and Jason Todd Garner; stepsons, Perry Jason Davison and Derrick Loyal Davison; and brother, Joe Michael Garner. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Hubert was preceded in death by his father, Hubert Julian Garner; his mother, Lorene Roberson Garner; and Sherry Gail Garner, the mother of his children.

Visitation will be held at Curtis and Son Funeral Home, North Chapel, 1315 Talladega Hwy, Sylacauga, Alabama 35150, on July 29, 2026, from 10:00 am until 11:00 am. Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 am at Curtis and Son Funeral Home, North Chapel.

Interment will take place at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, 1501 Talladega Highway, Sylacauga.

Pallbearers will be Jason Garner, Hunter Garner, Alan Ricks, Perry Davison, Derrick Davison, and Garrett Davison. Honorary pallbearer will be David Garner.
