James Daniel ConnellSylacauga - Funeral service for James Daniel Connell, 82, will be Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Radney-Smith Chapel with the Rev. Wesley Higginbotham and Rev. Larry Morrison officiating.  Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Sylacauga, Alabama.Mr. Connell died Sunday, October 17, 2010.  He was a member of First Baptist Church of Sylacauga.  Mr. Connell was retired from Farm Best Dairies after some 30 years of service.  He was preceded in death by his parents Rev. Sam and Laura Connell, brothers J.E. and Leonard Connell, sisters, Mildred Mims and Marie Trussell.He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Myrtis Connell of Sylacauga; daughter, Judy Smith of Sylacauga; son, Larry Connell of Eclectic; sister, Eunice Jones of Hollins; brothers, J. Reed Connell and Howard Connell both of Sylacauga; granddaughters, Cratina Connell Haynes of San Francisco, CA and Alison Griffitt of Sylacauga, grandsons, Rodney Connell of Tuscaloosa and Matthew Griffitt of Sylacauga. Visitation will be Tuesday, October 19, 2010 from 5 until 8 p.m.Pallbearers will be Tim Osbourn, Andy Osbourn, Ron Osbourn, John Osbourn, Rodney Connell, Matthew Griffitt, Mike Jones, Johnny Connell and Greg Connell.   Honorary Pallbearers will be the Co-Ed Sunday School Class of First Baptist Church and Walt Jones.Memorial messages may be sent to the family at www.radneysmith.com.Radney-Smith Funeral Home in Sylacauga, AL will direct the service.
