James "Danny" Smith

Danny is survived by his daughters, Angela Smith (John Connell), Pam Barnett (Dale), and Gena Hamm; his son, Chad Smith (Jodi); his grandchildren, Brittany McKee (Colt), Austin Hamm, Brandon Barnett (Alyssa), Haley McGrady (Anthony), Cody Hamm (Abby), Daniel Smith, Aidan Smith-Connell, and Beck Smith-Connell; and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Hall Smith; his brother, Carl Smith; his father, J.C. Smith; and his mother, Bertha Smith Anderson.

Visitation will be held at Curtis and Son Funeral Home, North Chapel, located at 1315 Talladega Hwy, Sylacauga, Alabama, on January 30, 2026, from 9:30 am to 10:30 am. A graveside service will follow at Highland Cemetery in Piedmont, Alabama, on the same day at 12:00 pm.

Danny's final resting place will be Highland Cemetery.
