James David Smith, Jr.Sylacauga - Funeral service for James David Smith, Jr., 79, will be Saturday, June 5, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Radney-Smith Chapel.  Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery in Sylacauga, Alabama.Mr. Smith, Jr. died Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at Coosa Valley Medical Center.    He was preceded in death by his wife, Beatrice Turney Smith.  He was a graduate of Gadsden High School in 1948 and he also attended the University of Alabama.  Mr. Smith was owner of Jimmy's Shoes for 25 years.He is survived by his daughter, Belinda Redd, husband Tony, of Virginia Beach, VA; grandson, James Tyler Redd and granddaughter, Morganne Redd; sister, Mary Ann Rivers of Nashville, TN;  and sisters-in-law, Becky Matthews and Jeanette Thomas. The family will accept flowers or contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Fund, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942 or Alabama Baptist Children's Home, P.O.
