Janie double dated my room mate while at U of Ala.  She was a sweet person and I really enjoyed being her friend.....as well as all the fun times at CHS class of 66. God bless you Janie. Dan Johnson

i remembered her when i was a student at asd and she was one of my teacher there. she was a wonderful woman and very sweet that i know.  i am so glad she was my teacher. i thank god for her being a part of my memories and a part of my life.

Janie was one of the finest people I ever knew.   We became friends back in the 7th grade and she always had a cheerful smile and a positive attitude no matter what the situation.   We had so many fun spend-the-night parties, trips to Wind Creek............and our memories from these more recent years, too.    She was such a blessing in my life and I'm so happy that she's skipping along the streets of gold.   I'll miss you dear friend.

You have been a wonderful teacher and friend while I was at school, you just know how to brighten my day. When I heard of your passing it sadden me but remembering your smile made it all go away. I know that you are one of the most beautiful Angel up there including the others that are up there. You will never ever be forgotten by the one you have touch lives with. Ms. Ryan! I am so blessed to know you during my high school years. You taught me many things about life and caring for others with open arms. I missed you and will see you again when my time comes!

She was the Secondary Director for the High School Department at ASD, she may be gone but never forgotten.. My deepest and most sincere condolences to her family.

Jane was a great friend.  we met at grad school in the mid-'70s.  She was the first person we contacted when offered positions at ASD.  we even stored Lynn's marimbas at her home prior to us moving.  I remember her caring for her Mom in her last days--aways thoughtful of others, a great friend to her many students at ASD.

Mrs. Jane Ryan ( that is who I knew her as), I was saddened to have heard of your passing, then realized we should be rejoicing since Heaven have gain another precious angel. You were very sweet and loving young woman. I remember your smile the most. When I saw your smile, it made me smile no matter how bad my day was or how bad I felt. You were very loved and will be deeply missed. Go Rest High Up On That Mountain (and say hello to  my daddy for me).

I will always remember you, Janie.  You were not just a teacher who taught facts, you taught us about life! Your love and concern for all of us continued on long after we left your classroom. I will miss your deep laughter and that beautiful smile! I love you! Fly high my friend!
