Jane was born October 3, 1953. She lived a very active and full life graduating from BB Comer High School class of 1971. She enjoyed the beach, and relaxing by the pool. Chuck's career took Jane from Kingsport Tennessee, to Dubuque Iowa, then to their dream home alongside Jane's mother Margaret Thacker in Sylacauga, Alabama where they lived until 2021. Jane received a liver transplant in September of 2014. Health issues with both of them forced them to move to Alabaster to be closer to family. She lived in Alabaster for roughly 3 Years and 6 months before her passing.
She thoroughly enjoyed her 13 acre country home in Sylacauga. She spent most of her time gardening and enjoying time with her fur babies Trooper, Marley, Maggie, Gizzy, and Smokey. Jane will be remembered as an avid Crimson Tide Fan but mostly as a genuine friend. She was a good listener and was always so very thoughtful. She stayed connected with family and friends while downplaying her own health struggles.
A memorial service for Jane will be held Sunday, November 9, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Curtis and Son Funeral Home, Childersburg, Alabama 35044.
