Jeanette Collins Ferguson, 83, former long-time resident of Huntsville, AL, passed away April 13, 2018, after suffering a stroke in The Villages, FL, her home for the past 15 years. Born in Stewartville, AL, June 24, 1934, she moved with her young family to Huntsville in 1958 and was employed as an executive secretary by Chrysler Corporation from 1959 until 1989. She will be remembered by co-workers for her exemplary work ethic and a penchant for elaborate practical jokes. She was creative, adventurous, protective, generous, and witty. The love she gave will live on in her family and friends.
Jeanette is survived and will be greatly missed by her husband of 65 years, Richard “Dub” Ferguson; her sister, Shirley Ann Culver of Birmingham; daughter, Shelly F. Morris (Frank); two grandchildren, Dr. Richard F. Morris (Megan) of Asheville, NC and Dr. Mary Hunter McDonnell (Sean) of Philadelphia, PA; one great-grandchild, Tipton Clare McDonnell.
Graveside services will be held at Macedonia Cemetery in Stewartville, AL at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 21 coordinated by Curtis and Son Funeral Home North Chapel in Sylacauga, AL. Donations in her memory can be made to Hospice of Marion County, FL or a favorite charity.
