Stan spent 34 years serving his God and others in many different roles throughout Georgia and Alabama before retiring in 2023. He and his wife, Patricia, chose to spend their retirement years in Harpersville, Alabama, where they could be close to their family in Alabama and Florida.
Stan was a man who loved his family deeply, and he was loved just as deeply in return. He will be remembered for his faith, his devotion to his family, and the many lives he touched throughout his years of service.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Wallace Sr. and Betty Smith Wallace.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia, his children, Ashley (Heath) Waldrop, Stephen (Amber) Tolbert and Sarah Walker, brother, Bill Wallace Jr. (Joya), sisters, Cindy Haddock (Joey) and Sharon Maddox (John), nephews, Todd and Trent Batchelor, Nathan (Sydney) Craney, and Jacob Craney, great-nephew, Jameson Craney, nephew, Buddy Kittrell, niece, Eden Kittrell, mother-in-law, Pamela Kittrell Brooks, and brother-in-law, Marcus (Missy) Kittrell.
He is also survived by those who lovingly called him Poppa and brought him some of his greatest joy, Ava Reese, Westin and Henry Waldrop, Maggie, Andie, and Jack Walker, and Zeke and Wes Tolbert.
A graveside service will be held at Harpersville Memorial Cemetery on Saturday, September 26, 2026 at 2:00 PM. The family will be receiving family and friends after the service at the home of Stan and Tricia Wallace.
In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations be made to a local church in support of its ministries, in honor of Stan's lifelong devotion to serving God and others.
Stan leaves behind a family who will miss him dearly, but they find comfort knowing that he has finished his earthly work and is now home with his Lord.
Pallbearers will be Joey Haddock, Marcus Kittrell, John Maddox, Heath Waldrop, Stephen Tolbert, Buddy Kittrell and Westin Waldrop.
Honorary Pallbearers are Bill Wallace Jr, Jack Walker, Zeke Tolbert, Henry Waldrop and Wes Tolbert.
