Faira Juanita "Nita" Miller, a kind-hearted resident of Sylacauga, Alabama, passed away on November 12, 2025, at the age of 95. Born on April 13, 1930, in Sylacauga, Alabama, Nita, as she was affectionately known, lived a full and devoted life.
Nita was married to her beloved husband, Bloyce Miller, for 32 years until his passing. Her life was dedicated to her children and grandchildren, and she cherished the time spent with them. She is survived by her children, Allison Miller, Wayne Miller, and Craig Miller (Vicki), as well as her grandchildren, Cory Miller and Ashley Miller. She is also remembered by several nieces and nephews. Nita was predeceased by her parents, George W. and Emma Dennis Bice, her sisters Sadie B. Ford, Myrtle Wiggins DeMerritt, and Mildred Taylor, and her brother Claude Bice.
Before becoming a stay-at-home mom, Nita worked as a secretary at Ft. Benning in Columbus, Georgia. After her children reached high school age, she pursued a career in nursing and later took on administrative duties at Miller Lumber in Sylacauga. Her dedication to her family and work was unwavering.
Nita loved working in the yard, fishing with her husband, reading avidly, and shopping. She also had a deep love for animals and cared for them with great affection.
Visitation will be held at Radney-Smith Funeral Home, located at 320 North Elm Avenue, Sylacauga, Alabama, on November 15, 2025, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. A graveside service will follow at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, 1501 Talladega Highway, Sylacauga, Alabama, at 11:00 am, where she will be laid to rest.
