Judy Lynn Williams (Shelton) was born on January 24, 1949, and grew up in Goodwater, Alabama, where she developed the values of kindness, hard work, and a deep love for family that would guide her throughout her life.
Judy lived a life defined by compassion, warmth, and unwavering devotion to her family and friends. She was a devoted mother, cherished grandmother, beloved family member, and loyal friend whose gentle spirit and generous heart touched everyone who knew her.
Judy believed in Jesus Christ and gratefully accepted His gift of eternal life. Her family finds comfort in the promise that she is now in His presence.
Judy found her greatest joy in spending time with the people she loved. She enjoyed watching her grandchildren play sports, watching the Atlanta Braves play baseball, Auburn Football and gardening. She had a welcoming smile, a caring heart, and a gift for making others feel at home. Her strength, grace, and enduring love will continue to inspire those who were blessed to know her.
She is lovingly survived by her daughter, Jennifer Thomas; Jennifer's husband, Ben Thomas; and Jennifer's children, Reese, Hannah, and Baylor. She is also survived by her son, Jason Williams, and his wife, Robyn Williams, and their children, Avery, Elijah, and Callen.
Judy will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her family, friends, and all whose lives she touched. Though her presence is gone, the love she shared, the lessons she taught, and the memories she created will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Her family rejoices in the assurance that, through her faith in Jesus Christ, she has received the gift of eternal life and is at peace in His loving presence.
"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." — 2 Timothy 4:7
May her memory be a blessing, and may the peace of Christ comfort all who mourn her passing.
