Julia Albert, age 80, of Sylacauga, Alabama passed away on Sunday, October 10, 2021. Julia was born October 27, 1940 to Henrietta Lawler and Cheney Lawler.

Julia was very funny and was loved by many. At the age of 50, she decided to get a nursing degree. When she retired, she was the Director of the Alzheimer's Unit at Cook Springs Nursing Facility.

Julia is survived by her daughter, Pamela Smith (Johnnie); her son, David Ray Albert; and her daughter-in-law, Shauna Albert; her brother, Cheney Lawler, Jr. (Joyce); her granddaughter, Shyla Russell (Charles), her grandson, David Leyba (Megan), her granddaughter, Carina Albert, her grandson, Brent Albert (Suzy), her grandson, Austin Albert (Leah), her grandson, Danial Albert, her grandson, Samual Albert, her grandson, Del Smith (Devyn); and her 12 great grandchildren.

Julia was preceded in death by her son, Alan Albert; her father, Cheney Lawler and her mother, Henrietta Lawler; her brother, Thomas Lawler and her sister, Jean Lawler; her granddaughter, Casey Leyba Butler, her great grandson, Bradley Shane Smith, and her best friend, Helen Kerns.

A visitation for Julia will be held Tuesday, October 12, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Radney-Smith Funeral Home, 320 North Elm Avenue, Sylacauga, Alabama 35150. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Radney-Smith Funeral Home with Priest Mary Ann Stewart officiating.

Julia will be laid to rest in Evergreen Cemetery, 1501 Talladega Highway, Sylacauga, AL 35150.
