Kenneth C. Mizzell

Sylacauga, AL - Funeral service for Kenneth C. Mizzell, 81, will be Wednesday, September 2, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Radney-Smith Chapel with Rev. Nedra Deerman officiating. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery in Childersburg, AL.

Mr. Mizzell died Monday, August 31, 2020 at his residence. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Jewel Mizzell. He was a member of St. Andrew's United Methodist Church where he faithfully served the Lord and the church in many capacities including Lay Leader, Sunday School Teacher and Bible Study Leader. Mr. Mizzell honorably served in the U.S. Army from 1962-1964 as a radio operator and participated in operation "Big Lift". He was the owner and T.V. Technician of Mizzell Electronics in Childersburg.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Bonnie Mizzell; two daughters, Kim Bohannon of Sylacauga, Lisa (Howard) Fornwalt of Sylacauga; two grandchildren, Russell Fornwalt, Jack Fornwalt; two brothers, Jimmy (Emily) Mizzell of Smyrna, TN, Melvin (Melissa) Mizzell of Sycamore; sister, Clara Mizzell of Sycamore; sister-in-law, Gloria Morrison; nephew, Chris (Michelle) Smith; niece, DeAnna (James) Smith and a host of family and friends.

Visitation will be Tuesday, September 1, 2020 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Radney-Smith Funeral Home.

I was saddened to hear of Ken's passing. I used to go to center hill Methodist church with him. I remember him as a very entertaining and intelligent guy. My sincere condolences to the family.
