"Lori Slay was a force of nature.
She spoke fluently in sarcasm and one-liners.
She laughed so hard, it could be heard long before she entered a room.
She always spoke her mind, and she never left you guessing.
She had a nickname for everyone, whether they knew it or not.
She loved family road trips, and she found a deal at every stop along the way.
She knew every staff member at Dirt Cheap and Bargain Hunt.
She filled her home with farmhouse antiques, and she always kept it clean.
She paid her debts in distressed furniture and homemade cakes.
She hated baking lemon blossoms, though it was her most famous dish.
She made roast beef and potatoes on rainy days.
She despised coffee and charcuterie boards.
She was deathly terrified of snakes.
She made a new friend at every turn.
She always brought the light with her,
And she loved her family more than life.
