Sylacauga-Lucille Strickland Hammonds, age 88 of Sylacauga passed away March 12, 2012 at Coosa Valley Medical Center. Funeral service will be Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Curtis and Son North Chapel with the Rev. Mike Owens officiating. Burial will be at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery. Survivors are nephews, nieces and many friends. Pallbearers will be John M. Brooks, Barry Strickland, Daryl Strickland, Chris Dukes, Ronald Haynes, Eddie Machen. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at the funeral home from 1-2 pm. She was a member of Sycamore Baptist Church, native of Sylacagua, Al. and retired from Avondale Mills.
