Luther Wallace, Jr.Sylacauga, AL - Funeral service for Luther Wallace, Jr., 94, will be Thursday, June 4, 2015 at 12:30 .p.m at Radney-Smith Chapel with Dr. Rick Patrick and Dr. Larry Morrison officiating.  Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Sylacauga, AL.Mr. Wallace died Monday, June 1, 2015 at Shelby Baptist Medical Center.  Mr. Wallace was born in Burnsville, Alabama and grew up in Marion Junction, Alabama with his parents and three sisters.  He graduated from Orville High School.  Being loyal to his country, he served in World War II from 1942-1945 as a "Combat Medic".  Mr. Wallace and his family moved to Sylacauga in the early 1970's where he bought Modern Cleaners, and later also built Wallace Cleaners.  Mr. Wallace was in the dry cleaning business for 55 years.  He was well known throughout the area for his expertise in his field.  He became a member of the First Baptist Church of Sylacauga in 1974.  He served in many capacities including being an Usher and serving with the Wheelchair Ministry.  Mr. Wallace's hobbies included bird hunting and serving his Lord, Jesus Christ.He is survived by his wife, Annice Wallace of Sylacauga; son, David Wallace, wife Betsy Frick of Steamboat Springs, CO; daughters, Patsy Jones, husband Troy of Sylacauga and Pam Burleson, husband Tommy of Birmingham, AL; sister, Sadera Moore, husband Cecil of Atlanta, GA; grandchildren, Jessie Wallace, Dylan Wallace, Todd Burleson, Cy Burleson, Brittany Hardy, Adam Jones and Lindsay Johns; great-grandchildren, Madison, Hudson, Hadley and Adalyn. Visitation will be Thursday June 4, 2015 from 10:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at Radney-Smith Funeral Home.Family will serve as pallbearers.The family will accept flowers or contributions may be made to The First Baptist Church of Sylacauga P.O Box 234, Sylacauga, AL  35150.Memorial messages may be sent to the family at www.radneysmith.com.Radney-Smith Funeral Home in Sylacauga, AL will direct the services.
