Funeral Service for Margaret J. Thacker, 84, will be Friday, December 30, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Curtis and Son North Chapel in Sylacauga with Bro. Cary Brown officiating. Burial will be in Fayetteville Methodist Cemetery.

Mrs. Thacker passed away Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at Coosa Valley Medical Center in Sylacauga. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dewey E. Thacker; parents, Joe and Leoma Kirk; and former husband, William Lewis Mitchell, Jr.

Mrs. Thacker is survived by her daughter, Jane Glick, husband, Chuck of Fayetteville; son, Lewis Mitchell of Rowlett, TX; brother, Donald Kirk, wife Faye, of Fayetteville; stepson, Tim Thacker, wife Beth of Fayetteville; stepdaughter, Donna Nickolson, husband Nathan; grandsons, Joey Mitchell of Rowlett, TX, Mason Thacker, wife Trista of Fayetteville; granddaughter, Maesa Thacker of Fayetteville; great-grandsons, Bentley Thacker of Fayetteville, Tylan Robinson of Fayetteville, Tyler Mitchell of Rowlett, TX, Benjamin Mitchell of Rowlett, TX, close friend and cousin, Jerry Davenport of Fayetteville, and special best friend, Patricia Owsley of Sylacauga.

Visitation will be Thursday, December 29 from 5:00 until 7:00 at Curtis and Son North Chapel.

The family would like to express thanks to the nurses and staff at Coosa Valley Medical Center, Coosa Valley Home Health, and Coosa Valley Hospice.
