A remarkable experience meeting Sgt Hardy at Normandy.  He educated my friend and I on what war was really like back then, and we are blessed to have met such a man. My gift to him that day of an authentic WWII watch  was only a small pittance of what is owed to real heroes like SgtHardy.  God Bless him and his fine family

I am saddened to learn, at this late date, of the passing of Sgt. Marvin Hardy.  During a tour of the Normandy Beaches, and specifically Point du hoc,  my friend and I had the great, great pleasure of meeting this marvelous hero on his memorial trip.  He was so courteous to us while we listened to him described the horrors which he experienced during his time at war.  I speak often up here in New Hampshire about that chance meeting a few years ago with such a wonderful soldier, and how my life was truly uplifted by this remarkable man.  God Bless Sgt. Hardy, God Bless his life, his beloved family, and the country he proudly served with honor and distinction.  And thank God that I met this great man.

We were so sorry to learn of Marvin's death.  All of you are in our thoughts and prayers.

I was with the Belgians who spent one week with Marvin during his battle tour . This meeting will stay for ever in my heart ... Marvin's smile was so great for us young Belgium. He was so simple so kind so ... I miss you Marvin . Please accept my condoleance Belgium are with you .

I had the luck to meet Marvin during his trip to Normandie last November.It was an honor for me to could thank him.
