Mary Nelle McClure

Mrs. Elgin P. McClure(nee Mrs. Mary Nelle Bradley)Sylacauga, AL - Mary Nelle Bradley McClure passed away on Sunday morning, September 9, 2012 at the Palliative Care Center, UAB Medical Center in Birmingham.Nelle was born on July 1, 1925.  She attended and graduated from Fayetteville School.  She was a long time employee of Kimberly Clark and later worked with her late husband, Elgin McClure, in their air conditioning business in Sylacauga.  She was a member of First Baptist Church in Sylacauga.  Her hobbies in her earlier years included sewing, working in her yard and being involved in making ceramics.Nelle resided at the Spring Terrace Assisted Living Facility in Sylacauga for the past eight years until recent health issues.  The past two months she was a resident of Mountain View Nursing Facility also in Sylacauga before entering the UAB Hospital and the Palliative Center at UAB.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Elgin P. McClure, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Edward Bradley and Mrs. Viola Mims Bradley.She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Eloise B. Forte and husband Eugene of Chattanooga, TN; one brother, Jimmy M. Bradley and wife Louise of Baton Rouge, LA.  She is also survived by two nieces, Mrs. Marsha Z. Armstrong and husband David and Miss Reva Zeigler of Nashville, TN and one great-niece, Mrs. Christi Clark Fryou and husband Stephan also of Nashville, TN.Visitation will be at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 13, 2012 at Radney-Smith Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow at 10:00 a.m. at Radney-Smith Chapel.  Religious services will be conducted by Dr. Larry Morrison of First Baptist Church in Sylacauga.  Burial will be in the Marble City Cemetery.Memorial donations may be made to your favorite charity or to the First Baptist Church of Sylacauga, P.O.
