Mavis Virginia (Pruitt) McGrady

Mavis is survived by her children Joyce Duncan (Roland), Roy McGrady (Sarah), and John McGrady (Mary); her grandchildren Leigh Ann Bynum (Danny), Cindy Fix (Randall), Gina Wilkes (Ronnie), Angie Kirkland (Arnold), Chip Duncan (Kelly), Mike McGrady (Stephanie), and Stacey McGrady; her 22 Great Grandchildren, her 9 Great Great Grandchildren and her numerous Nieces and Nephews.

Mavis was preceded in death by her father Frank Pruitt and her mother Virgie Pruitt; and her brothers Austin Pruitt, Bill Pruitt, and Paul "Bud" Pruitt.

A visitation for Mavis will be held Thursday, March 28, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Curtis and Son Funeral Home, followed by a funeral service at 3:00 PM. Mavis will be laid to rest in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery. All services will be officiated by Pastor Trull Hill.

Serving as honorary pallbearers are Michael McGrady, Ian McGrady, Jason Fix, Daniel Gravette, Danny Bynum, Ronnie Wilkes, Chris Wilkes, Chris McGrady, Jeff McGrady, and Jimmy "Cotton" Pruitt.

Mavis was a member of Sycamore Baptist Church.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Coosa Valley Hospice and others who cared for her during this time.
