Mrs. Maxine Goodgame Moon, age 76, of Sylacauga, Al passed away on January 1, 2019 at her residence. A Graveside Service will be held on January 8, 2019 at 2:00PM at Harper Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be on January 8, 2019 from 12:00PM to 2:00PM at the Curtis and Son North Chapel. Bishop Demetrius Griffin will be officiating the service. Survivors are Sons: Anson (Michelle) Moon, William Moon II. Stepchildren: Tyson Moon, Dwight Moon, Aaron Moon, Greg Moon, Cleo Moon Daniel. Grandchildren: Seven. Great Grandchildren: Five. Brothers: Roy Bell, William (Sara) Lane. Aunt: Laura A. Goodgame and Johnnie Mae Goodgame. Special Nephew: Franklin Flucker and a host of Nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. Online condolences may be offered at www.curtisandsonfh.com. Curtis and Son Funeral Home North Chapel will direct the service.

MAXINE Goodgame MOON, was a faithful, dedicated worker in the Lord's Work! Whether the Local church, the Rushing Springs District, the Northeast State, the Alabama State Convention or the National Baptist Convention USA and their Women and Youth auxiliaries, she Planned, Organized, Coordinated, Instituted and Excelled! MAXINE MOON was a Christian Educator and Public Schools Educator par excellence!
For 25 years, we watched her Work in numerous roles and capacities with the "PRECISION of a SURGEON and the TENACITY of a BULLDOG!" SHE WAS LOVED, ADMIRED, RESPECTED AND APPRECIATED.....A Good Soldier and a Good Servant of Jesus Christ !!!
