Mr. Melvin Looney of Sylacauga passed away at the age of 80 at Coosa Valley Medical Center. Funeral Services for Mr. Looney will be on Saturday July 23, 2016 at Curtis and Son North Chapel at 2PM. Visitation will be on Saturday July 23, 2016 at the North Chapel from 1-2PM. Entombment will be in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery. Rev. James Maddox will be officiating the service. Survivors are Wife: Barbara Looney of Sylacauga. Children: Gary Looney of Sylacauga, Pam Whitman of Sylacauga, Keith Looney of Sylacauga. Brother: Jerry Looney of Sylacauga. Grandchildren: Jessica Carmack, Meagan Looney, Kevin Whitman, Jenna Windham, Heather Looney and Brittany Looney. Great Grandchildren: Bray Carmack, Lauren Smith, Whitlee Windham. Background: Preceded in death by Brother; Otis A. Looney Jr. and grandson; David Whitman. Mr. Looney was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and Retired From Kimberly Clark. Pallbearers are Brent Forbus, Blake Carmack, Ross Windham, Kevin Whitman, Bill Whitman and Shean Brown.
