Melvin Carl Taylor

Sylacauga, AL - Funeral service for Melvin Carl Taylor, 96, will be Thursday, June 29, 2023 at 5:00 p.m. at Radney-Smith Chapel with Rev. Mark Ledbetter and Rev. Bob Owens officiating.

Mr. Taylor died Monday, June 26, 2023 at Coosa Valley Medical Center. He was preceded in death by his wife of 71 years, Betty Taylor; parents, Barnes & Elizabeth Taylor; 3 sisters and 4 brothers.

He is survived by his three daughters, Nancy T. (Dennis) Buckner, Paula (Mac) Motes, Allison (Dwayne) Taylor Poer; six grandchildren, Taylor (Celeste) Buckner, Ramsey Buckner, Carrie Motes, Abbie (David) Weigel, Taylor Grace Poer, Drew Poer; five great-grandchildren, Hudson Buckner, Gibson Buckner, Wyatt Buckner, Mac Weigel, Felicity Weigel; brother, Waylon Taylor; and special family friend, Mrs. Jean Gallups.

Visitation will be Thursday, June 29, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Radney-Smith Funeral Home.
