Patricia Barnett BlackFayetteville, AL - Funeral service for Patricia Barnett Black, 73, will be Thursday, May 9, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Grace Baptist Church with Rev. Johnny Brown officiating. Mrs. Black will lie in state at the church one hour prior to her service.  Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Sylacauga, AL.Mrs. Black died Monday, May 6, 2013 at Coosa Valley Medical Center. She was retired from Avondale Mills with 40 years of service.  She enjoyed attending church.  Mrs. Black was an avid gardener and enjoyed working in her yard.  She was a loving mother and grandmother.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Evie Barnett, brother, Ray Barnett and sisters, Frances Barnett, Wayne Mizzell and Jean Peters.She is survived by her son, Ricky Black, wife Karen of Fayetteville; sister, Joy Duke, husband Lane of Fayetteville; grandchildren, Dusty Black, Amber Boggs, husband Robert and Mason Black; great-grandchildren, Tessa Black and Macie Claire Boggs; several nieces and nephews that she loved very much.Visitation will be Wednesday May 8, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Radney-Smith Funeral Home.Pallbearers will be Dusty Black, Robert Boggs, Brian Duke, Donnie Duke, Chris Barnett and Travis Mizzell.Memorial messages may be sent to the family at www.radneysmith.com.Radney-Smith Funeral Home in Sylacauga, AL will direct the services.
