Patricia (Patty) Ann Wright was born on March 24, 1957 in Sylacauga, AL where she lived her whole life. She passed away peacefully in her home on Saturday, July 11, 2026 after being diagnosed with cancer just a few months ago.
Patty is survived by her husband of 53 years, Donald Wright who was also her best friend. She is also survived by her daughter, DeAnna Hutton (Paul); her granddaughters, Cassidy Blankenship (Ryder) and Skyler Hutton; and her sister, Carol Koch (Steve).
Patty lived a life of unconditional love and devotion to her family and friends. Her love for God and her family was evident in everything she did. Her kind and generous heart touched everyone who knew her. One of her greatest joys in life was watching her grandchildren grow up and spending time with them every day.
Patty worked for many years as a Pharmacy Tech at Walmart pharmacy where she gained a wonderful work family and many friends. She was the director of Baby Geniuses Early Learning Center where she worked with her daughter for over 12 years. She loved babies and children and helped shape many young lives from all over Talladega County.
Patty believed in Jesus Christ and happily accepted his gift of salvation at a very young age. Her family is comforted knowing she is no longer suffering and is now living in his presence.
Patty was a beautiful, kind, selfless soul who touched the lives of so many people. She lived her life to make sure everyone around her was happy. Her loving kindness will be remembered forever.
Visitation will be held at Radney-Smith Funeral Home, 320 North Elm Avenue, Sylacauga, Alabama 35150, on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm. The Funeral Service will follow in the Chapel at 2:00 pm with Bro. Phillip Owings officiating.
Pallbearers will be Paul Hutton, Ryder Blankenship, Steve Koch, Ronnie Wright, Matt Phillips, Steven Koch, and Jeremy Mizzell.
Final resting place will be Tallasahatchie Cemetery, 3332 Tallasahatchie Rd, Alpine, AL.
