

Mrs. Peggy Oldham was born in Jonesboro, Arkansas on December 30, 1932. She was a resident of Sylacauga, AL. The Lord picked a beautiful flower out of his garden on Wednesday, February 20, 2013. Mrs. Oldham was a prominent citizen of Sylacauga. She loved the people of Sylacauga. She spent countless hours helping others make their lives better. She served on many boards, the Planning Commission Board, Beautification Council and served for many years as President of the Pilot Club. She owned and operated Ready Help Secretarial Service. Mrs. Oldham is the past administrator for the Sylacauga United Way. Mrs. Oldham retired from the Lake Martin Boys & Girls Club in 2007 where she served as Administrative Assistant, and most recently volunteered at the Sylacauga Chamber of Commerce. Mrs. Oldham is predeceased by her husband, R. Wayne Oldham. Mrs. Oldham leaves to mourn her death, one daughter, Melissa Sullivan Reynolds (son-in-law Eugene Reynolds); two grandsons, Joshua Tyler (Amanda Lambert), Matthew Tyler (Joy Bently); two great grand children, J.D. Tyler and Landon Tyler; her long time friend, Frank Willis; a sister, Frances Martin and niece, Sally Martin; her companion and pet Jazz; and many other relatives and friends. Visitation will be Friday, February 22, 2013 from 12:30-2:00 p.m. at Curtis and Son North Chapel. Funeral services will be Friday, February 22, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Curtis and Son North Chapel. Graveside service immediately after. Pallbearers will be Matthew Tyler, Joshua Tyler, Eugene Reynolds, Jack Mitchell, Eddie Bentley, Sherrill Weathers. Curtis and Son North Chapel will direct.
