Mrs. Peggy Prickett Wesson

Childersburg, AL. - Peggy Prickett Wesson, age 84, passed away on Sunday, September 14, 2025.

Peggy is survived by her son, Gary R. Wesson (Ruth); daughter, Meredith W. Hughes (Bryan); and grandchildren, Antonella Wesson, Chloe Hughes (JD Adams) and Colt Hughes.

Peggy was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Ray Wesson; father, Ealon Aaron Prickett and mother, Annie Mae Prickett; brothers, Doc Prickett, Bobby Ray Prickett, Bill Prickett; and sister, Cheryl Fredrick.

A visitation for Peggy will be held Saturday, September 20, 2025 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Oak Grove, 40190 US-280, Sylacauga, AL 35150, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 p.m. with Bro. Max Buttram officiating.

Peggy will be laid to rest in Greenhill Cemetery, 7447 Old Sylacauga Hwy, Childersburg, AL 35044.

Serving as pallbearers are Bruce Maddox, Byron Hughes, Mike Taylor, Mike Jones, Spence Payne and Clay Vick. Honorary pallbearers are Roger Northcutt, Clint Maddox and Brady Gamel.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Peggy's memory may be made to First Baptist Church of Oak Grove, P.O. Box 256, Sylacauga, Alabama 35150.
