I am very sorry to see Brother Thrower pass. He and Sister Thrower were always nice to our family. He came to my father’s funeral two years ago. He was always kind and friendly. If I had known we would have come and paid our respects. God bless him and the Thrower family.

I worked with Phil for nearly 30 years and knew him for about 50 years.  You may have heard the question...If you were arrested for being a Christian would there be enough evidence to convict you? In Phil's case the jury would not have been out long before finding him guilty.  Phil loved his church and took an active role, especially by leading music and blessing not only his congregation, but also other congregations with his beautiful singing voice. 
The last time we talked had just gotten home from the hospital, was feeling better and hoping he would  feel well enough to attend church on Sunday and sing the great old Hymn "He Lives". From our conversations I could tell Phil dearly loved Judy and his family. Phil's and Judy's marriage was based on genuine love and respect for each other.  While working with USDA he supervised a number of employees. He expected a good honest day's work from each of them, but was concerned about their welfare and supported them. I have heard him say that he would charge the gates of hell with two buckets of ice water in support of his employees.  I told Phil a few days before his death that we have some friends in life and other friends for life. Phil was indeed my friend for life. I cherish my memories of him and our friendship. I will miss him. May Judy and the family feel God's presence and may God comfort and sustain them as they go through this difficult time.

Praying for God's comfort for all of his family. He was a very nice man. So sorry for your loss.

Mr. Thrower had a wealth of knowledge in his choose profession and was willing to assist those needing help.  He loved his wife and family.   He was a  good man.

I received the pleasure of meeting Mr. Thrower and his wife Judy at work. I had an instant connection between the both of them and I am forever grateful that I was able to get to know him. What precious souls they both are but I know Mr. Thrower will be dearly missed. 🤍

One thing you recognize about Phil Thrower was that he was a messenger of God. He was a Godly man that love his wife, sons, and extended family. The only thing that came second in his life was fishing. He will be surely missed.

We are so sorry Sis. Judy and family for your great loss and we are praying God will give grace and comfort to the family! We love you all and always enjoyed getting together  for fellowship and eating cat fish with  Brother Phillip. He will be sadly missed... Bro.& Sis. Whitehead.
