Foley, AL - Graveside service for Raymond Huzzell "Hugh" Powell, 87, will be Thursday, March 9, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in Evergreen Cemetery with Bro. David Vick officiating.
Mr. Powell passed away Saturday, March 4, 2017 at the North Baldwin Infirmary in Bay Minette, AL. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Burine Morris Higgins; second wife, Lavon Fae Slaughter; son, James Christopher Powell; parents, James Monroe Powell and Sammie Nell Powell; and his brothers, James Washington Powell and Douglas Lamar Powell.
He is survived by his son, Raymond Huzzell Powell, Jr.; daughter, Cindy Gay Powell; step-daughters, Donna Jenks and Diane Bruce; numerous grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Baldwin County Humane Society.
