Richard DavisSylacauga, AL - Funeral service for Richard Davis, 44, will be Thursday, June 25, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Radney-Smith Chapel with David Vick officiating.  Burial will be in Fayetteville Cemetery in Sylacauga, AL.Mr. Davis died Monday, June 22, 2015 at UAB Hospital in Birmingham, AL.  He was preceded in death by his brother, Randy Davis; grandparents, Richard and Ruth Kirkland, and Guy and Ruth Davis.  Mr. Davis was Fire Chief of Lay Lake Volunteer Fire Department.  He was a veteran firefighter for the City of Sylacauga for 20 plus years of service.He is survived by his wife, Shanna Davis; daughters, Randi Davis, Kayla Davis and Kylie Davis; parents, Billy and Peggy Davis of Fayetteville; brother, Robert Davis, wife Tammie of Fayetteville; nieces, Allison Davis and Kristal Hartle; father and mother in law, Jody and Joan Thornton of Sylacauga; brother in law, Jason Thornton, wife Chyenna of Calera; niece, Jacey Thornton; nephew, Gage Thornton; brother in law, Kenny Thornton, wife Stephanie of Sylacauga and nephew, Austin Thornton.
