Rick was born September 13, 1951 in Sylacauga, Alabama to Robert L. Williams and Faye White Williams (deceased.) He attended Sylacauga and Anniston schools, graduating from Saks High School in the class of 1969. He also attended Jacksonville State University. As a teenager, Rick became a member of Gladeview Baptist Church in Anniston.
Rick is survived by his wife, Victoria Hecker Williams, Daphne, Alabama; son Rhys L Williams, Nacogdoches, Texas; daughter and son-in-law, Kelly and Phil Azar, grandsons, Marshall Azar, Garrett Azar and Gavin Azar all of Fairhope, Alabama; father Robert L. Williams, Rainbow City, Alabama; sister, Robin Wilson, Rainbow City; special nieces, Lindsey (Rhys) McFarland, Rainbow City and Leah Wilson (Wesley Rhodes), Auburn, Alabama; as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins. In recent years, Rick’s pleasures in life were his grandsons, gun collection and golf. The family wishes to thank family, friends and Dr. Alexander Minney of Fairhope for the love and support received during Rick’s brief illness.
