Rocky is survived by his wife, Denise White; his daughters, Alyssa White Jackson (Drew) and Alex White (Fiance, Will Green); his mother Carolyn Gentry White; his sister Mandy White Lollar (Mickey Jordan Lollar).
Rocky was preceded in death by his father Tommy White.
Coach White was vibrant, energetic, funny, brilliant and well loved. Most importantly, he loved the Lord. He was an educator for 36 years in many schools in Alabama and in Georgia. He was also a stand up comedian as he loved to make people laugh! Coaching and teaching chemistry and physics were his passion and he impacted more lives than most people do in a lifetime. His coaching journey included football, golf, soccer, track, and basketball.
Rocky’s other passion was being married to Denise White for 32 years. The love of his precious daughters, Alyssa and Alex was unmatched.
A visitation for Rocky will be held Tuesday, April 16, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at First Baptist Church of Sylacauga, 10 S Broadway Ave, Sylacauga, AL 35150, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 PM. All services will be officiated by Dr. Rick Patrick and Rev. Tripp Dickson.
Rocky will be laid to rest in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers are Blake Flippo, Josh Taylor, Will Bailey, Marty Brown, Toney Cooksey, Wes McCarter, Joey Shelnutt, Scott Roberson, Brad Hoffman and Men's Sunday School Class will serve as honorary pallbearers.
