Russell R. Butler Sr., age 84, of Pelham, Alabama passed away on Thursday, September 15, 2022. Russell was born May 1, 1938 to Velma Butler and Bill Butler.

Russell is survived by his wife, Shirley Butler; his sons Russel Butler Jr. (Grace); and Chris Butler (Serena); his brother Mark Butler (Donna); his grandchildren Rebecca Demers (Andrew), Brennan Butler, and James Butler and his great grandchild Charlie Demers; and his nephew Reed Butler.

Russell was preceded in death by his father Bill Butler and his mother Velma Butler; his brother Charles Butler.

A visitation for Russell will be held Saturday, September 24, 2022 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at Curtis and Son Funeral Home, 1315 Talladega Hwy, Sylacauga, Alabama 35150, followed by a memorial service at 11:00 AM. Russell will be laid to rest in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.
