I met Sandra when my son, Shane, started school at Watwood in 1986. She was a teacher assistant and helped in his classroom as well as in several other classes. As a parent volunteer, I was often in one of the classrooms when Sandra came in to help. Sometimes she would work with small groups and other times she gave all her attention to one student.  It was easy for me to see why Shane thought the world of "Miss Willis." She was always so soft spoken and kind and it was obvious she cared about the children. Hundreds of students in the Childersburg area were blessed to have crossed paths with this sweet christian lady.  To all the family I hope the sweet memories you have will comfort you in the days to come.

Mack and I became friends with Ray and Sandra  in 1966.  The guys meet when they went to work at Kimberly Clark. Sandra and I were young stay at home mothers.  Ray and Mack had several adventures.  Sandra and I were  the quiet ones.  We love this family and cherish our memories through fifty plus years.  We pray for peace and comfort for the children and grandchildren.

I have so many wonderful memories of times I spent with Sandra.  I could write a book but parts of it people would find hard to believe.  Like the day I told her to get the scissors out of my desk to cut slices of pizza.  She looked at me as if I had finally lost it.  But that became her way of cutting pizza after that.
Then how Ms Bowling and I would get into loud discussions planning and practicing assembly programs.  She would tell others that were listening, don’t worry it will be all right, just wait .
Ray had told her that I was one of the meanest people he had ever met.  I think it was kind of a surprise to both of them when we became such good friends.
Now they are together again, forever!
