Sarah M. Cardwell; October 8, 1979-June 6, 2021
Sarah was born prematurely into this world and fought her way home... Her warrior spirit and light followed her all the days of her life as she attended Sylacauga City Schools (graduating class of 1998). She was the bright spot in everyone’s day and this really showed when she worked at Food World and for the Hallmark Corporation. She truly loved her customers and coworkers. Sarah was an avid traveler, especially loving cruises. Sarah’s warrior spirit showed up again later in life as she fought muscular dystrophy. Sarah was a weather watcher, watching “the man, James Spann” and her Cousin Brett Adair and warning everyone in her life of upcoming inclement weather. Many lives have been saved by her being glued to the television with her cell phone in hand. Sarah was loved by many: her mother (Sarah “Libby” Cardwell) and Grandmother; Shirley Cardwell and Brother; James J (Julie) Cardwell, and Sister; Leah (James) Murphy. She was the best “Aunt Bug” to her nieces and nephews (Anna Grace Murphy, Justice Aaron Murphy, Azusa Joy Murphy, Beckett Alexander Cardwell, Grayson Everett Cardwell). She was a special friend to all but especially Blake Baker. She was met in eternity by her father (James S. “Jimbo” Cardwell). Grandfathers; (Grafford Johnson and James R. “Mickey” Cardwell). Grandmother; (Annie Fay Johnson) Uncles; (Stan Cardwell and Tim Cardwell). The world is truly a little darker without Sarah in it. Arrangements will be a Graveside Service Thursday June 10, 2021 at 11AM at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.
