Steven Bryant

Steven Bryant, age 85, of Childersburg, Alabama passed away on Friday, July 16, 2021. Steven was born September 24, 1935. A visitation for Steven will be held Tuesday, July 20, 2021 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Curtis and Son Funeral Home North Chapel. A funeral service will occur following the visitation at 1 PM. A burial will follow the funeral service at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery. Rev. Ronnie Forbus to officiate all services. Steven is survived by his wife, Glenda Bryant; daughters Lisa Lewis (Rhett) and Debra Hallman Childress (Anthony); sons Steve Bryant Jr., Chester Bryant, Wesley Bryant and Shannon Bryant (Lindsay); sister Shirley Abernathy Grace and brother Lester Bryant; step-children Teresa Gregory (Brad), Clifford Medley (Tina), Andy Medley (Eva), 12 Grandchildren and numerous Great Grandchildren. Steven was preceded in death by his first wife, Shirley Bassett Bryant; sister, Thiren Bartle; great grandchild, Baylee Hallman; step-child, Tracey Medley; and daughter-in-laws Anita and Sandra. At the age of 19, Steven enlisted in the US Navy. His date of entry is listed as the 8th day of October, 1955. He was assigned to be on the USS Lexington. Steven attended Calvary Baptist Church.
