Sue Garrett Treace

Funeral service for Sue Garrett Treace, age 82, of Sylacauga will be Saturday, January 14, 2023 at 2PM at Curtis and Son North Chapel with Rev. Mike Dankson officiating. Entombment will follow at Evergreen Mausoleum. Visitation will be from 1-2 at the funeral home.

Born in Tallapoosa County on October 15, 1940 to Andrew H. and Hazel Garrett, she attended Sylacauga High School, class of 1959. She was a talented seamstress and had a successful drapery business for many years. She was a strong willed woman who loved to laugh and had many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband, Billy Wayne Treace.

Survivors are her sons, Tony Treace (Jeneane) of Atlanta, Keith Treace of Atlanta, grandchildren, Julia Weinzettel (Eric) of Woodstock, GA, Will Treace of Atlanta, great granddaughter, Madeline Weinzettel and sisters, LaMerle Mizzell of Sylacauga and Martha Payton of Birmingham.
