Born on March 3, 1955, Susan lived a life centered around family, love, and the moments that mattered most. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose memory will forever be cherished by those who knew and loved her.
Susan was a dedicated Registered Nurse who earned her Master’s degree in Nursing. Her education and career reflected her commitment to the nursing profession and the care of others.
Above all, Susan cherished her family. Friday nights held a special place in her heart, as they were reserved for weekly family dinners with her children and grandchildren. These gatherings were something she eagerly looked forward to each week. For Susan, there was nothing quite like having her family together, sharing a meal, spending time with one another, and making memories.
Affectionately known as “Mimi” to her six grandchildren, Susan found tremendous joy in being a grandmother. She loved each of her grandchildren deeply and treasured every opportunity to see them and spend time with them. Whether it was a family gathering or simply being together, the time she shared with her grandchildren meant the world to her. The love she gave them and the memories they made together will remain with them always.
Susan was preceded in death by her parents, Eda B. “Boots” Rainer and Feagin “Bubs” Rainer.
She is survived by her three children, James Mask (Laura), Amy Kissic (Chad), and Rainer Mask (Angela); her six beloved grandchildren, Keaton Mask, Karson Mask, Hunter Mask, Khloe Mask, Sadie Mask, and Brooklyn Kissic; her sisters, Wrenn Bretz (Charles) and Ann Williamson; and her niece and nephew, Melissa Coleman and Carl Bretz (Jessica).
Susan’s greatest legacy will be the love she had for her family and the memories they will carry with them. The Friday night dinners, the time spent together, and the joy she found in being “Mimi” will forever hold a special place in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
Though she will be deeply missed, her family will continue to honor her memory through the love they share and the traditions she held so dear.
