Tommie Reid FortenburyChildersburg - Funeral service for Tommie Reid Fortenbury, 67, will be Sunday, October 3, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Radney-Smith Chapel with the Rev. David Turner officiating. Burial will be in Kahatchee Cemetery in Childersburg, Alabama.Mr. Fortenbury died Thursday, September 30, 2010 at his residence. He was retired from Kimberly Clark after some 25 years of service and he was also employed by Talladega Machine Shop. He was honorably discharged from the US Navy.He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Elizabeth Fortenbury of Kahatchee; son, Dale Fortenbury, wife Michelle of Kahatchee; daughter, Christy McDonald, husband Brad of Sycamore; 2 sisters, Ruby Gentry of Fayetteville and Rita Sparman of Birmingham; 2 brothers, Donald Fortenbury of Birmingham and Gary White of Port St. Joe, FL; 3 grandchildren,, Kasi Fortenbury, Sierra McDonald and Destiny McDonald.
