Tracy Owings

Sylacauga, AL - Funeral service for Tracy Owings, 44, will be Tuesday August 16, 2016 at 12:00 p.m. at Radney-Smith Chapel with Rev. Tommy Thornton officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Sylacauga, AL.

Mr. Owings died Saturday, August 13, 2016 at Grandview Medical Center. He attended Marble City Church of God. He was a loving son and brother who brought joy to everyone he came in contact with. Tracy joins his loved ones who have gone before him; grandparents, Moncea Hay Sr., Charles and Minnie Owings, and sister, Angie Whitworth. The family would like to thank the staff of Coosa Valley Medical Center and Grandview Medical Center for their exceptional care for Tracy and the family.

He is survived by his father and mother Charles and Janice Owings of Fayetteville, brother, Tommy Owings wife Lois of Oak Grove; two sisters, Sherry Laman husband Lonnie of Fayetteville, Paula Ward husband Michael of Goreville, IL; brother, Michael Owings of Sylacauga; grandmother, Rilla Hay of Fayetteville; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Tuesday August 16, 2016 from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.

Pallbearers will be Chad Owings, Brad Owings, Andy Owings, Johnathan Owings, Lonnie Laman and Cody Laman. Honorary pallbearers will be Tommy Owings and Troy Owings.

The family will accept flowers or donations may be sent to Cheaha Mental Health Center 1661 Old Birmingham Hwy. Sylacauga, AL 35150 or to The ARC 607 W 4th St. Sylacauga, AL 35150 in memory of Tracy.
