Funeral service for Walter Florence Butler, age 78, of Sylacauga will be Sunday, August 14, 2016 at 2PM at the Risers Chapel Church, 1799 Church Rd., Alpine, AL with the Rev. Rodney Frost officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be on Saturday, August 13, 2016 from 5-8PM at Curtis and Son Childersburg Chapel. Mr. Butler was born in Fayetteville, AL and was an avid fox hunter. He was retired as an Instrument Technician from Kimberly-Clark and was the founder of Butler Refrigeration, currently Sleeping Giant in 1963. The family would like to thank the staff in the TCU unit at Coosa Valley Medical Center. He is survived by his wife: Faye Butler, children: Debbie Rutledge, Danny Butler and wife Julie, Joey Butler and wife Debbie and Tim Butler and wife Jennifer, 7 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and brothers: Jerry and Charles Butler.
